Sara Amis bought her first Tarot deck in Little Five Points , Atlanta in 1989, having recently learned with a deck her friend gave her. Four years later she began reading professionally at Underground Atlanta.
Sara has been giving readings and workshops all over the Southeast and beyond for decades, at events and conferences that are too numerous to mention but include Mystic South and the Sacred Lands and Spiritual Landscapes conference. She teaches classes on Tarot, meditation, witchcraft, using Archetypes to create divination tools, and traditional Southern Folk Magic often called Hoodoo, Rootworking, and Conjure.
Sara’s writing has appeared in Witches & Pagans Magazine, Datura, Lilith Queen of the Desert, Godless Paganism, A Mantle of Stars, The Moment of Change, Rolling Stone Magazine, and the Saturday Evening Post. She wrote for the Pagan Channel of Patheos.com off and on for ten years, including her featured blog A Word to the Witch.
With 30+ years of experience and a broad range of interests, Sara incorporates Old and New, East and West; she is conscious of world culture while staying rooted in traditional Southern folk ways. She favors a down-to-earth, accessible approach. She can offer clarity on how and why you may be blocked, and advice on practical solutions.
